Levels of heavy metal and POP pollution in 2024
These pollution maps are based on modelling conducted by MSC-E in 2026. They show air concentrations and atmospheric deposition of heavy metals and persistent organic pollutants (POPs) across the EMEP domain in 2024. The results were obtained using the latest version of the GLEMOS model and emissions data officially reported by the countries in 2026. More details are available in the EMEP Status Report 2/2026.
